I recently had the privilege of immersing myself in the vibrant atmosphere of the High School Senior and Sports Youth National Conference (SYNC). SYNC 2024 brought together a creative community of over 500 professional photographers, digital artists, studio owners, and industry service providers gathering to create, learn and inspire each other. Being amidst like-minded creatives who share a fervent passion for senior and sports photography was an invigorating experience in itself.
The conference was a whirlwind of enriching experiences, featuring captivating keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities.
The total number of entrants for the SYNC print competition was a record-breaking 1,280. I am proud to announce that seven of my photographs won prestigious SYNC awards. These pieces include Sports Composites, Studio Images, and Team Photos.
My piece “Pick Off” won first place in the High School Senior Composites category, as well as an Award of Excellence.
“Youth Basketball” took third place in the Individual Banner category, also receiving an Award of Excellence.
The following five images, “Classy Chic,” “Double Play,” “Dream Team,” “The Great American Pastime,” and “The Seniors of Middle School” each received an Award of Excellence from SYNC.
It was such an honor to not only attend the esteemed SYNC conference, but to win numerous awards for my pieces. This felt like a testament to the dedication and passion poured into each image. As a photographer who is constantly striving for excellence in all that I do, attending the 2024 SYNC Conference was an incredible experience. I am so appreciative of the seniors and families who entrust me with their sessions and allow me to do what I love every single day.
